The headquarters in Crewe house more than 4000 employees who are responsible for the development, design and production of Bentley vehicles. They apply their skills that have been passed down through generations to cutting-edge automotive technologies. This is the characteristic of British manufacturing at its finest. Bentley claims it takes about 500 man hours to design and assemble the average Mulsanne. The unwillingness to embrace modern technology is the main factor to this time-consuming effort. The Crewe factory workers don't use a machine to space perfectly-matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand. Drivers must park their vehicles manually, instead of using sensors built-in to guide them into perpendicular and paralell spots. In the course of the event, Bentley presented its Mulliner personalization capabilities using one particular example of the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays tribute to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars include an item key that shows the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
